Terms of Service
DRAFT — pending legal review. This is a plain-language draft of our terms. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and is not legal advice.
1. The service
Áfram is a fitness app that provides general training guidance and an AI coach (Nova). It is for general fitness and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for a doctor, physiotherapist, or other qualified professional. Always consult a professional before starting a new exercise programme, and stop and seek help if you feel unwell or injured.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account and use Áfram.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Please give accurate information when you sign up.
4. Acceptable use
Use Áfram for your own personal training. Do not misuse the service, attempt to break its security, or use it unlawfully.
5. Health and assumption of risk
Exercise carries inherent risks. You are responsible for training safely within your own limits, and by using Áfram you accept those risks. Áfram's guidance is general and may not suit your individual circumstances.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Áfram may offer paid subscriptions. When it does, subscriptions are sold and billed through the app stores (Apple App Store / Google Play), auto-renew unless cancelled, and are managed and cancelled through your store account, subject to the store's refund policy. This section applies once subscriptions launch.
7. Intellectual property
Áfram and its content, software, and the progression engine are owned by us. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app. You own the data you create; you grant us the licence needed to store and process it in order to provide the service.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not responsible for outcomes from following general fitness guidance.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You can stop using Áfram and delete your account at any time using the in-app "Delete account" control. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the version and effective date shown in the app and, for material changes, let you know.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
